SocKETs is a EU-funded project coordinated by The Danish Board of Technology Foundation and this website is hosted and  managed by same (hereinafter, “DBT”) with contributions from Ecsite, the European Collaborative for Science, Industry and Technology Exhibitions.

This policy is applicable to personal data processing that DBT uses on its websites.

NATURE OF DATA COLLECTED AND PROCESSED

In this Privacy Policy (as defined hereinafter) Personal Data may relate to name, email address, location.

PURPOSE: GENERAL CONTACT

Purpose of the data processing:

The purpose for processing the data is to respond to the queries placed with us, to put you in touch with the relevant partner of SocKETs or send the requested information/estimate.

Data retention

The data provided will be stored until it is considered that the requester’s requirements have been fulfilled, after which they will be cancelled or deleted upon fulfilment of all legal obligations.

Lawfulness of data processing

Data processing is lawful by consent as established in article 6.1.a of GDPR “the data subject has given his or her consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes”.

Processed data

Data affected by this processing has been provided by the data subjects themselves, who have authorised its use in accordance with the information previously indicated.

For this processing, only basic identification data, contact information and employment details will be used.

Data transfer

Data will not be transferred to third-parties. Should there be any intention to transfer data, prior authorisation will be obtained from the data subjects, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

 PURPOSE: SUBSCRIPTION TO DOWNLOADS

Purpose of the data processing:

To control the downloading of SocKETS’s product and services portfolio and to obtain statistical data on the persons interested in these products and services and in DBT.

Data retention

The data will be stored for the time required to carry out the activities established above, after which they will be cancelled or deleted upon fulfilment of the legal obligations, if any.

PROTECTION OF DATA

DBT has a set of technical and organisational security measures in place to protect the Personal Data collected and processed on this website against unlawful or unauthorised access or use, as well as against accidental loss or damage to their integrity. These measures have been designed taking into account DBT’s IT infrastructure, the potential impact on your privacy and the costs involved and in accordance with current industry standards and practice.

RIGHTS

Everyone has the right to know whether DBT is processing their personal data or not.

You have the right to access your personal data, which implies knowing which elements of your data are being used, the purpose and the period of use, among other information. This also includes the right to request the rectification of data that are inaccurate or incomplete and even to request that the data be cancelled when they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.

If your personal data were made public and the data controller is obliged to delete them, you can request that the data controller adopt measures to notify all persons authorised to process the data of your request to erase the said data (right to be forgotten).

In some cases the data subject may request that processing is restricted. In this case, the data may be stored to exercise their defence or to make claims. If the limitation of processing is withdrawn, the data subject shall be duly informed.

Under some circumstances you may oppose the processing of your data. In these cases, DBT shall stop processing your data, provided that there are no other compelling legitimate grounds or if these data will be used to exercise or defend possible claims.

You have the right to receive the data provided to the data controller to whom they correspond or to have these data transferred to another data controller.

The data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Under some circumstances the compliance of these rights by the data controller may be subject to other laws in force that affect how the rights will be applied.

SocKETS’s website contains links to other websites, digital platforms, and social networks belonging to third-parties, whose privacy policies are unrelated to SocKETS. These links are provided in order to offer more information on SocKETS. When you access any of these sites, you must decide whether you accept the privacy and cookies policy of that site. As a general rule, when you browse the Internet, you can increase the privacy of your navigation by changing your browser’s settings.
