Hilary Sutcliffe
Director
SocietyInside
Hilary runs London-based not-for-profit SocietyInside. The name is a riff on the famous brand ‘IntelInside’ and its focus is the desire that innovation should have the needs and values of people and planet at its heart – not simply the making of money.
She explores the issues of trust, ethics, values and governance of technology (AI, synthetic biology and gene editing, nanotech and neurotech among others.) through collaborative research, exploring trustworthy process design, public speaking, online training, coaching, mentoring and acting as a critical friend to organisations of all types.
She is director of the TIGTech initiative which explores trustworthiness and trust in the governance of technology, was previously co-chair of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Values, Ethics & Innovation and member of its Agile Governance Council. She was recently named one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2021
Kasper Lundberg Lykkegaard
CEO
SENS Innovation ApS
Kasper is a co-founder and CEO at SENS Innovation ApS. Where he manages the team and the company’s strategy both for its commercial and product market fit activities.
Through an extensive involvement of end-users and health professionals Kasper has managed the development of the medical device product SENS motion, which is today marketed for clinical applications at hospitals and universities. He has successfully managed and funded the process through a number of public (EU and national) as well as customer funded projects, including the process of obtaining a CE mark as a Medical device for the SENS motion product.
Kasper has a background as an engineer within the field of robotics and has worked as a team leader at CLAAS E-Systems before starting SENS Innovation in 2014.
Martin Bech
PhD
Martin Bech is Senior Advisor at the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV) working with Technology for Sustainability, Future of Production as well as ATV’s international partnerships.
Between 2017-2020, Martin was Deputy Director and Attaché for Higher Education, Science & Innovation at the Danish Innovation Centre, Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai. Prior to this, he was Head of Secretariat at University of Copenhagen’s think tank on China, ThinkChina.dk. Martin has also worked as Programme Manager at Fudan University’s Nordic Centre in Shanghai and has held several other administrative positions in Danish university sector.
Martin holds a PhD in Organisational Studies from Aarhus University, a master’s degree in Cultural Studies and International Development from Roskilde University and a bachelor’s degree in China Studies from University of Copenhagen.

Professor, Leiden University, Governance of Sustainability
Prof. Dr. Ir. Eefje Cuppen is Professor in Governance of Sustainability at the Institute of Public Administration of the Faculty of Governance & Global Affairs of Leiden University. As part of her chair, she is building a new university program for interdisciplinary research and education in the field of sustainability.
Her research focuses on conflict and collaboration in multi-actor decision-making processes in sustainability transitions. Her interest is in how the interaction between different actors, in particular (groups of) citizens, public and private organisations, shapes -and can be shaped- to transform socio-technical and socio-ecological systems.
She holds an MSc degree in Innovation Sciences from Eindhoven University of Technology and a PhD in Policy Sciences from VU University. She published widely on design and methodology of stakeholder dialogue, public engagement and controversy in energy planning, responsible innovation, and governance of sustainability and innovation.
