After their first workshop, during which different challenges faced by the eHealth industry in Denmark have been identified, our Danish SocKETs lab invited different stakeholders including healthcare professionals, policymakers as well as citizens to address those challenges, making sure to include in the equation the point of view of e-health product users.
Participants were invited to give their input and discuss how the implementation of eHealth products in Denmark could be improved, first by pointing out the current obstacles and then by looking for possible solutions. They brought up the need for global standardization of data and of the different processes, as well as better prevention made by municipalities.
The second part of the session was dedicated to exploring different funding solutions for these initiatives.
The benefits gained from this discussion have been mutual for both participants and SocKETs organisers: The SocKETs lab has greatly progressed from the fruitful discussions and the vast variety of perspectives shared, and participants have perceived this meeting as a catalyst for collaboration and will initiate further discussions among themselves to join forces on their own activities!
In preparation for the third and final workshop, the DTI team will foster a real collaboration between eHealth technology holders and citizens that will use this technology by visiting a home for elderly people.
