CPN, our Serbian SocKETs lab, is looking at how to foster a mutual dialogue between different actors in the eHealth Serbian landscape, in order to improve healthcare and quality of life in different domains.

The second co-creation workshop organised by CPN, our Serbian SocKETs lab, clearly had “cooperation” as a red thread.

This topic was addressed for the first half of the meeting, during which two experts, researcher and medical doctors have presented their perspective on cooperation in eHealth: first about challenges of cooperation between research teams and clinical institutions, the second about mutual cooperation and common experiences in the field of Biomedical Engineering and Technology.

Participants were then introduced to an emerging field in e-health: artificial intelligence with a specific angle around algorithms for recommendations as a public good and virtual identity as a human right.

The second part of the workshop was more oriented around participants’ contributions and discussions around how to address the global challenges of e-health identified within this SocKETs lab. There was a consensus around the importance of involving policymakers and decision-makers into the equation.

Finally, the notion of collaboration came back with the networking opportunities that were highly appreciated by participants. This workshop has been a great opportunity for participants to discover each other’s work and the different ways in which they can collaborate in the future.
